Growing Cover: Lessons in perennial cover establishment

Hear directly from the experts who produce and prescribe perennial cover seeds during OBC’s webinar series featuring North America’s best suppliers of cover crop, native seed and conservation cover. We’ll go deep into the highlights, and potential pitfalls of establishing perennial vegetation in your orchard or vineyard.

Each episode digs into the superpowers of different species and plant types, as well as the unique capability that the producers and distributors bring to our market. Experience in the field has shown us that establishing a strong perennial cover is not the same as spreading annual “soil builder” seeds every year. These discussions will help you understand that what’s happening below ground might be the most exciting part of perennials!

We have representatives from NativeSeed Group, Green Cover Seed, Great Basin Seed (Haystack Mountain), Columbia River Seed and Millborn Seed!  You’re invited to join any or all of them!

These conversations will be especially useful if you're using the Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative  USDA Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) grant. With nearly $3.5M in funding for perennial seeding in West Coast orchards and vineyards, our AMP grant is a great resource.

Whether you're new to perennial cover or refining your approach, there's something here for you.
